the world should see how easy it is to change peoples minds and to give them hope. people always think, that you cant change young people and they`re behaviour. look what just one speech did to them. thats amazing. I really hope, that Barack Obama knows what responsibilty he took. I also hope that he really does act on it. salam from germany

It is evident that tomorrow’s generation is heading in the right direction. I’m a white man raised in the South where prejudices are very prevalent. I’m now living in Washington. I fully intend to vote for Obama. It speaks volumes about our nation having a very strong possibility of voting a black man into the White House. If the various ethnic backgrounds can set aside stereo-types and prejudices, we will all benefit. Life is too short to limit our contacts. I’m excited about the future.

Oh, just for fun, I might add that my wife and I are not related, I don’t use chewing tobacco, or play the banjo with my feet. This is simply to indicate that our stereo-types aren’t always valid. Perhaps this is what you pictured with my first statement indicating that I’m white man born in the “South”. God bless.

This is what it is about - he is inspiring people - you notice none of them spoke about how much money Obama might give them they spoke about how he inspired them to do good for themselves…….this is the difference - he will not throw money at things he is inspiring people to govern themselves - this is not Republican or Democrat this is American!!!

Realize that none of the students are talking about policy. A big REASON Obama is so popular is because he connects to people emotionally. Any other person could read his speeches and not have an impact, it’s because Obama has the elusive “it” factor when he gives speeches… there’s something that connects with you when you hear him talk. Try reading aloud one of his speeches, it’s not as easy as you might think to put the emotion and meaning that he puts into the words.
July 7th, 2008 at 12:12 am
You can see it in this video, the kids are not saying Obama will be a good president because he will do such-and-such thing. It’s more emotional terms like “safe” “possible” and “inspiring”, he makes people believe that whatever they want for their community and the world he bring it about.
July 7th, 2008 at 12:14 am
As one guy said it feels like their talking one-on-one when he gives a speech, they feel like their on the same page. His words to “unite” the country and “bring people together” reach into our sub-conscious and make us feel better about whatever problems we face in our own lives. Because of Obama’s ability and mastery at emotionally appealing and connecting with people (which John Kerry severely lacked) he will win the election. OBAMA 08!!!!!!
